Job summary

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation is seeking a Director of Systems Change to lead national grantmaking across Thriving Children, Working Families, and Equitable Communities.

The role requires a visionary, anti-racist approach and a track record in strategy, program alignment and staff development. Qualifications

• 10–15 years of progressive experience in grantmaking or a related field with demonstrated expertise in strategy development and priority-setting in support of child wellbeing.
• Experience shaping strategy with senior leadership and program officers to translate strategy into priorities and goals.
• Ability to develop and implement impactful programs and communicate program frameworks to grant-seekers and trustees.
• Demonstrated expertise in innovative grantmaking practices including program evaluation and grantee communication.
• Ability to work with vulnerable communities with sensitivity to historical context and power dynamics.
• Exemplary public communication skills and experience participating in national and regional convenings.
• Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time and work on-site in Battle Creek.

Responsibilities

• Lead grantmaking strategy across the Systems Change portfolio.
• Build and maintain relationships with foundation leadership and cross-program areas.
• Manage a diverse, multidisciplinary team of program officers.
• Represent the foundation to external stakeholders and grantees.
• Ensure program alignment, knowledge sharing, and rigorous evaluation of impact.
