Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care seeks a mid-career Division Director for the Division of Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery. The role leads 10 faculty across Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Surgery and Breast Surgery, with appointment at Associate or Full Professor on tenure or clinical track based on experience and research interests.

Ideal candidates will have expertise in HPB, breast, melanoma/sarcoma, or regional therapies such as HIPEC, and a strong commitment to multidisciplinary,

Qualifications

• MD, DO or equivalent degree.
• Completion of training in all phases of General Surgery.
• Accredited fellowship in Surgical Oncology or Breast Surgical Oncology is required.
• Board eligibility/certification from the American Board of Surgery.
• Applicants with established research are preferred and appointment to the tenure track requires research experience with outside funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead a collaborative team of 10 faculty in Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Surgery, and Breast Surgery.
• Appoint Associate or Full Professor level in tenure or clinical (non-tenure) track.
• Demonstrate leadership in multidisciplinary care and continuous performance improvement.
• Foster education, research, and clinical excellence in surgical oncology.
