Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Lansdale, PA seeks a Director of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end planning, material flow, and inventory control. You will partner with operations, procurement, engineering and PM to translate demand into executable production and shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant progressive leadership experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, planning or material management.
• Demonstrated leadership of supply chain and physical material flow organization.
• Strong experience with SIOP, production planning, inventory management, capacity planning and manufacturing execution.
• Demonstrated success improving delivery performance, reducing past due and stabilizing complex production environments.
• Strong analytical capability and experience using ERP/MRP systems (Oracle and SAP Hana).

Responsibilities

• Provides the Voice of the customer within ISC, ensuring priorities and delivery risks are translated into actions.
• Partner with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Quality and Program Management to resolve constraints and maximize output.

Job description

The Director of supply Chain (ISC) is a key member of the site ISC leadership team and serves as the senior operational partner to the ISC leader. This role owns the end-to-end planning, control and physical movement of material across the operation from supply planning and inbound receiving through inventory control, material presentation / kitting and final shipments to the customer.

The Director will create the operational disciple and cross-functional connectivity required to translate customer demand into executable production and shipment plans. This leader is accountable fore ensuring material availability, schedule health, inventory accuracy, clear-to-build readiness and disciplined execution against customer commitments.

The successful candidate will be a highly visible, hands-on leader who combines strong supply chian analytics with operational execution and a relentless focus on the customer.

Responsibilities

Supply Planning & Customer Execution

• Own the site supply planning process, translating customer demand and business priorities into executable production, material, and shipment plans.
• Establish and manage the rolling production and shipment outlook, with partial focus on the current month and rolling 4-12-week horizon.
• Own schedule health and ensuring production plans are achievable, appropriately challenging and aligned with material and capacity constraints.
• Drives clear to build visibility across the operation, identifying material constraints before they impact production or customer commitments.
• Leads recovery planning for past due orders and delivery performance, establishing clear actions, wonder, and escalation paths to achieve customer commitments.
• Provides the Voice of the customer within ISC, ensuring customer priorities and delivery risks are clearly translated into operational actions.
• Partner with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Quality and Program Management to resolve constraints and maximize customer output.

Material Flow and Execution.

• Own the end-to-end physical movement of material from receipt though shipment.
• Provide leadership for Receiving, Inventory Control, Material Handling / Kitting and shipping
• Establish standard work and material -flow strategies that ensure material is available at the point of use when required
• Improves dock to stock, receiving, staging kitting material presentation, and shipment execution
• Eliminate material shortages and transactional gaps that disrupt production flow.
• Develop visual management and daily operating mechanisms to identify and resolve material-flow constraints quickly.
• Ensure shipping executes the daily, weekly and monthly shipment plan while maximizing opportunities to accelerate customer deliveries.

Inventory Control

• Own inventory accuracy and inventory-control maturity across the site.
• Establish disciplined cycle counting, reconciliation, material transaction, and root cause and corrective action processes
• Direct accountability for inventory accuracy throughout the entire material lifecycle.
• Reduce excess, obsolete and inactive and stranded inventory while protecting customer delivery
• Establishes PFEP and material-control strategies appropriate to the operation

SIOP, Capacity and Forward Planning

• Serve as a key operational leader within the SIOP process, ensuring demand translates into realistic supply and capacity plans
• Establishes rough-cut-capacity planning at the appropriate levels of the organization.
• Identify future capacity, labor, material supplier and production constraints before they impact customer commitments
• Challenge demand and production assumptions where required to prevent unrealistic ramps or unstable production plans
• Simultaneous challenge operations to identify oppportunies to surge, increase throughput and recover customer commitments.
• Ensure alignment between demand planning, supply planning, procurement, production execution and customer delivery.

Leadership Expectations:

The successful candidate will be a strong supply chain leader who can move seamlessly between strategy, analytics and tactical daily execution. The Director must demonstrate the ability to build high-performing teams, establish supply chain discipline, simplify complex problems and create transparency though metrics and visual management. Above all, this leader must maintain supply chain performance ultimately translate into the organization’s ability to delivery on its customer and business commitments.
