Responsibilities

• Oversee supply chain operations across Mountains Health, including procurement, materials management, inventory control, storeroom operations, warehouse management, mailroom services, linen distribution.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures for all supply chain processes and ensure compliance.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, identify gaps, and drive corrective action plans.
• Lead staff, collaborate with clinical and executive teams to improve service levels and cost efficiency.
• Leverage technology to support service delivery and operational efficiency.

Position: Director Supply Chain Operations

Reports to: Interim Vice President, Supply Chain

Position Summary: The Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for all supply chain functions across the organization, including procurement, materials management, inventory control, storeroom operations, warehouse management, mailroom services, linen distribution, and other related departments as assigned. This role ensures the efficient acquisition, management, and distribution of supplies, equipment, and services needed to support high-quality patient care and organizational performance. The Director collaborates closely with clinical, operational, and executive leaders to optimize supply chain processes, drive cost savings, enhance vendor relationships, maintain regulatory compliance, and implement best practices that improve service levels, operational efficiency, and overall resource stewardship across the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

Works in collaboration with Mountains Health Supply Chain, GPO, and Mountains Health personnel to:

• Oversee supply chain operations across Mountains Health, including:
  • Establishing and implementing policies and procedures for all supply chain transaction processes, including:
    • Product and service ordering
    • Product and service receiving
    • Product and service distribution
    • Warehouse, storeroom, par location, and other inventory management
    • Discrepancy identification, management, and resolution
    • Contract and item file compliance
    • MOUNTAINS HEALTH customer expectations, requirements, and satisfaction
  • Establishing, measuring, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), assessing the causes and impact of results, and developing action plans to address performance gaps
  • Managing staff responsible for supply chain functions and collaborating with operating departments that perform supply chain-related activities
  • Developing, updating, and implementing training programs, processes, and procedures for both supply chain and non-supply chain personnel
• Effectively leverage supply chain technology to support service delivery and operational efficiency
• Participate in short-term and long-range planning, strategic initiatives, and fiscal management activities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and related standards
• Collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a high-value customer experience and exceptional service levels throughout the organization.

Requirements:
