Job summary

Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine, seeks a Director of Health Services to lead a team of Nurses, a Counselor, an Athletic Trainer, and a Student Health Services Coordinator, ensuring high-quality care and on-call coverage.

This full-time, 12-month role includes policy development, budget oversight, and collaboration with families, staff, and outside providers to promote a student-centered, inclusive health program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or public health and Maine RN licensure.
• Three years’ leadership experience in healthcare administration preferred.
• Experience working with adolescents in a school health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Health Services team including Nurses and Counselor.
• Oversee patient care, care standards, and on-call rotations.
• Plan health policies, budgets, and clinical operations.
• Coordinate medication administration and EMR system.
• Develop summer camp coverage and crisis management.
