Job summary

Indiana University Health seeks a Director of Structural/Interventional Cardiology with an Academic Faculty Appointment at the IU School of Medicine. The role combines clinical leadership with advanced structural heart interventions, inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic duties, and a strong emphasis on education and program growth.

  • Primary practice location; IU Health Methodist(625-bed teaching hospital)
  • Clinical responsibilities include interventional procedures, with a primary focus on structural heart interventions. In addition, clinical responsibilities include inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic, with particular focus on structural heart consultations.
  • Strong leadership and teaching component, with significant interest and dedicated investment in administrative time dedicated to strategic program growth as well as development of educational initiatives. These may range from leading expanded partnerships to clinical trial leadership to building a structural fellowship.
  • American Board Certification Interventional/Structural Cardiology
  • Minimum of 5+ years of clinical and leadership experience
  • Faculty appointment with the IU School of Medicine, clinical rank will be commensurate with experience

IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals. Construction for the new hospital is well underway and set to open in late 2027. It will feature three 16-story towers with 864 beds. IU School of Medicine is also constructing a medical education and research building directly east of the new hospital.
