Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in the United States is seeking an experienced analytics leader to partner with CDO VPs, TA Heads, and Sr. Directors to drive action steps, lead cross-functional teams, and translate data into strategic decisions across clinical programs.

You will present findings to executive leadership, maintain industry benchmarks, and shape strategies for trial analytics, data integrity, and KPIs. This role demands 10+ years in pharma analytics and a proven track record influencing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field with prior clinical setting experience.
  • 10+ years pharmaceutical experience with knowledge of clinical trials/process/technology and analytics.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills; proven execution in fast-paced environments.
  • Clear communication of analytical/technical concepts in lay terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with CDO VPs, TA Heads, and Sr. Directors to identify trends, review analytics, drive action steps, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate context, insights, and objective analysis to CDO LT and other R&D leaders to support decision-making.
  • Support CDO LT with planning, organizing, implementing, and maintaining strategies and initiatives.
  • Present key findings to executive leadership; anticipate issues affecting timelines/quality and develop options/solutions.
  • Maintain/evolve processes for gathering, summarizing, and distributing industry benchmarks/trends relevant to the pipeline.
  • Develop reporting and measures to monitor Clinical Study KPIs and leading/lagging indicators for improvement projects.
  • Provide strategic direction across system owners to ensure integrity of data and clinical trial systems.
  • Anticipate emerging technology/methodology needs to improve efficiency and create value.
  • Conduct ad-hoc short-term consulting projects to answer critical leadership questions.
  • Ensure consistency in insight generation/analysis across therapeutic areas.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years pharmaceutical experience with knowledge of clinical trials/process/technology and analytics (advanced degrees may qualify with fewer years).
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills; proven execution in fast-paced environments.
  • Clear communication of analytical/technical concepts in lay terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional leaders.
Preferred
  • 1+ years life-sciences management consulting.
  • Intermediate R/SAS (or similar) and visualization tools (Spotfire/Tableau or equivalent).
  • Advanced degrees (MBA/PhD/Master of Statistics/Mathematics) and deep drug development/clinical research knowledge.
