Job summary

Capital Electric, a member of the Sonepar family, seeks a senior procurement leader to drive enterprise strategy, supplier relationships, and inventory optimization. The role partners with Sales, Operations and Finance to align priorities, improve margins, and ensure service levels across jurisdictions.

You’ll lead a team of buyers and analysts, develop governance, and implement process improvements leveraging ERP and BI tools. Healthcare plans and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, operations, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive procurement/purchasing/sourcing/inventory or supply chain experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading managers or procurement teams.
• Proven success leading strategic supplier relationships, negotiations, and category strategies.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, working capital, purchasing operations, supplier performance, and decision-making.
• Experience in electrical distribution, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise procurement strategy aligned with growth, service, margin and working capital objectives.
• Lead supplier and category management across major product areas; drive negotiations and supplier development.
• Partner with Inventory Management, Operations, and Sales to balance inventory investment, turns and risk.
• Oversee procurement policies, standards, and operating procedures across the business.
• Lead procurement managers, category leaders, buyers, specialists, and analysts.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance and distribution centers to align priorities and execution.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards and executive reporting to drive decisions.
