Job summary

Metric Bio is seeking a Director of Manufacturing for Biologics Drug Product CDMO operations, overseeing sterile manufacturing within a GMP-regulated environment. Qualifications

• Significant experience leading manufacturing operations within a pharmaceutical/biotech/CDMO environment.
• Strong background in sterile drug product manufacturing, aseptic processing.
• Proven leadership in GMP-regulated facilities.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and quality systems.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across sterile manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of production activities.
• Lead, develop, and mentor manufacturing teams, building a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
• Oversee manufacturing activities to comply with cGMP requirements, regulatory expectations, and internal quality standards.
• Drive improvements across production performance, capacity utilization, right-first-time execution, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Technical Operations, Supply Chain and other stakeholders to ensure reliable production schedules.
• Support technology transfers, process improvements, and introduction of new products or processes.
• Oversee deviation investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and other quality activities in partnership with Quality.
• Contribute to site strategy, resource planning, and development of manufacturing capabilities.
