Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Director of Stakeholder Engagement to lead strategy, execution and management of stakeholder and community engagement across the South Region (Texas, Plains and Southeast states). You will manage two Engagement Managers and partner with Development, Permitting, Operations, and Corporate Affairs to advance project siting, permitting and community relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, political science or other relevant areas.
• Minimum 7 years of community engagement, campaign and advocacy experience for energy-related projects, campaign or community organizing, social risk and impact management.
• Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders on complex community engagement issues.
• Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure development, rural communities, community development, environmental management, organizing, or local government a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute strategic social risk assessment and mitigation programs for all development, construction and operational projects in the South Region.
• Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plan to create and nurture long-term relationships in project communities and secure social license to operate.
• Utilize CRM to track interactions with local stakeholders, coordinate communications, and identify trends and risks.
• Manage two Stakeholder Engagement Managers and coordinate with Development, Operations, and other teams.
• Monitor local sentiment and elevate risks to leadership as needed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure budgets and resources are secured to mitigate risks.
• Provide regular updates and insights to internal stakeholders to inform decision-making.
• Lead coordination with external consultants and partners to promote projects and ensure compliance with policies.
