Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar systems.
  • Proven track record of achieving operational, financial, quality, safety, and customer objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate operational vision, establish strategic goals, and execute business plans that support growth and profitability.
  • Provide executive oversight of operations across multiple California facilities and ensure alignment with priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Site General Managers and senior operational leaders.
  • Participate in strategic planning and deployment activities for the organization.
  • Guide the organization in maintaining competitive position through excellence, customer service, and financial performance.
  • Ensure direction and objectives are communicated across locations.
  • Develop and maintain responsive, flexible manufacturing operations to support changing demand and growth.
  • Define manufacturing objectives, plans, policies, programs, and capital investment strategies.
  • Oversee budgets, capex, resource planning, and financial performance across facilities.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs.
  • Meet with strategic customers to maintain relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 compliance and regulatory standards.

Salary Range: $211,606.00 To $239,207.00 Annually

DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Director of Operations provides executive leadership and management oversight of operations across multiple California manufacturing facilities. This executive leader develops and executes strategies to maximize operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, quality performance, safety, and profitability while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The Senior Director oversees site leadership teams, drives operational excellence initiatives, leads strategic projects, and serves as a key partner to the VP of Operations in achieving organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work with the VP of Operations and Executive Management Team to formulate operational vision, establish strategic goals, and execute business plans that support organizational growth and profitability.
  • Provide executive oversight of operations across multiple California facilities and ensure alignment with company priorities, goals, and objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Site General Managers, and senior operational leaders.
  • Participate in strategic planning and deployment activities for the overall organization.
  • Guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position through operational excellence, innovation, customer service, and financial performance.
  • Ensure strategic direction, goals, objectives, and key business initiatives are communicated throughout all locations.
  • Develop and maintain responsive, flexible manufacturing operations capable of supporting changing customer demands and long-term growth strategies.
  • Define manufacturing objectives and establish operational plans, policies, programs, capital investment strategies, and capacity requirements.
  • Provide oversight of operational budgets, capital expenditures, resource planning, and financial performance across all assigned facilities.
  • Develop, monitor, and continuously improve key performance indicators.
  • Meet with strategic customers and prospective customers to maintain strong relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement across all California locations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business, or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Minimum 7 years leading multi-site manufacturing operations.

  • Proven experience managing complex multi-site manufacturing organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cost management.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing performance reporting tools.
