Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Director / Sr. Director, Program Management to lead cross-functional program management across biotech projects in Redwood City. You will partner with clinical, regulatory, and manufacturing leaders to align timelines with the development plan and budget.

The role requires a deep drug development understanding, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with PM tools. You will drive program milestones, manage risks, and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required; PharmD/PhD highly desirable.
  • 10+ years industry experience; minimum 5 years PM in cross-functional pharma/biotech teams.
  • Deep understanding of drug development process.
  • Excellent planning, organization, analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships in matrix environments.
  • Ability to drive plans across multiple functions; prioritization and time management.
  • Experience with PM planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, teamwork, influence/negotiation; PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day planning, coordination, and tracking; create/maintain project timelines.
  • Facilitate meetings; provide minutes and drive action items.
  • Anticipate and manage issues; manage scope, schedule, resources; use PM tools for communication.
  • Create and drive integrated program timelines (Gantt charts) and communicate critical paths.
  • Optimize team effectiveness and decision-making; resolve program challenges.
  • Perform risk assessments and drive mitigation plan implementation.
  • Drive information flow; produce regular status reports to senior management.
  • Assist Finance with program budget compilation/tracking; ensure resources and constraints.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting platforms (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Collaborate on governance; manage relationships with China-based stakeholders.
  • Organize lessons learned sessions; mentor junior PM staff.
  • Support continuous improvement of PM department via new tools/processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Plus: oncology and/or autoimmune experience; cell therapy experience; PMP preferred.
