About the Role:

PubMatic is seeking a dynamic Director or Senior Director of Product Marketing to join our growing team in New York City.

Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing, the Director or Senior Director of Buy-Side Product Marketing will be responsible for leading and executing go-to-market strategies for Activate and PubMatic’s broader GenAI-powered unified buyer platform, including buy-side deal curation via our SSP and audience targeting through Connect. The ideal candidate must have outstanding buy-side experience (tech or agency) with expertise in core PMM skills such as positioning, market intelligence synthesis, product launches, and sales enablement. As this role is customer-facing, exceptional presentation and public-speaking skills are required, along with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and levels of seniority. Reporting to the Vice President, Product Marketing, you will translate our buy-side product vision and roadmap into prioritized go-to-market plans, collaborating across stakeholders in Product, Commercial, and Marketing. Fluency in managing complexity at a global level is essential.

What You'll Do:

The successful candidate will have deep experience in product marketing, including positioning, messaging, market intelligence, collateral creation, competitive analysis, and product promotion. Success will be measured by product marketing metrics and OKRs, including:

  1. Partnering with Product Management and Commercial Leads on launches
  2. Managing end-to-end GTM planning, product demos, demand generation assets, positioning, and messaging playbooks
  3. Aligning cross-functionally across teams such as legal, marketing, and product
  4. Educating and evangelizing new product features to sales teams
  5. Driving product adoption, especially for SaaS offerings
  6. Developing programs that influence pipeline revenue and velocity
  7. Understanding customer journeys by persona, region, and industry
  8. Supporting corporate marketing and thought leadership initiatives
  9. Utilizing marketing tech stacks like Pendo, Salesforce, HighSpot, Pardot, etc.

Who You Are:

  • 10+ years in marketing, with 7+ years in buy-side advertising or marketing technology (agency, advertiser, DSP, or ad tech)
  • Proven expertise in product marketing within buy-side digital advertising or SaaS
  • MBA is a plus but not required
  • Deep industry knowledge, passion for technology, and startup mentality
  • Strong content creation and thought leadership skills
  • Creative messaging and presentation capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management on GTM strategies
  • Technological proficiency and innovation understanding
  • Excellent project management, organizational, writing, and presentation skills
