Job summary

Pay Range

USD $152,077.00 - $190,096.25 per year

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 am–5 pm

Under the general direction of the Vice President, Operations, the Director, Fulfillment Operations is responsible for shaping vision, strategy, and delivery of Lumicera and partner pharmacy fulfillment operations. The Director creates compliant, safe, and efficient fulfillment operations, including inventory management, cold chain management, prescription dispensing, final verification, shipping, and service delivery, and builds an effective cross‑functional department through organization design, process improvements, and cross‑training.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct operational redesign and develop and execute business strategies that increase service levels, operational capabilities, and efficiencies. Oversight of pharmacy capacity, new pharmacy locations, and pharmacy redesign.
  • Direct and oversee Patient Services and Specialty Programs staffing requirements by analyzing trends, developing forecasts, researching business requirements, and analyzing workflows in conjunction with WFM functions.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure necessary systems and applications support fulfillment operations and are continuously evaluated for proper operation, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate growth objectives and new service offerings of the organization.
  • Develop and implement continuous operational improvements focused on enhancing patient care while optimizing the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to optimize processes to improve efficiency, safety, and patient experience.
  • Ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of pharmacy service KPIs to other Pharmacy Managers and Executive Leaders.
  • Assist in the creation and reporting of ongoing Quality Improvement Projects, and actively participate in the Quality Oversight Review Committee.
  • Investigate, present, and create business cases around new technology solutions and/or processes to aid in more efficient pharmacy fulfillment operations or enhanced patient experience.
  • Develop and oversee an efficient, cost‑effective, safe, and patient‑centric fulfillment strategy across all fulfillment locations, encompassing fulfillment process, packaging, shipping, and service delivery and recovery.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of ACPE–accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D., with a current, unrestricted license.
  • Current resident Pharmacist license with ongoing maintenance of education credits to remain active.
  • Minimum five years as a licensed pharmacist preferred.
  • Four to five years of experience in specialty pharmacy preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Managed care and/or PBM experience preferred.
  • Active participation in, adherence to, and support of compliance program objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
