Job summary

3DE by Junior Achievement seeks a Director, Curriculum Developer, Special Curriculum Projects to design and produce high-quality curriculum materials for high school learners and teachers. You will convert research and subject-matter expertise into classroom-ready resources that scale across a growing network of schools.

Work closely with content development, publishing, operations, and field teams to ensure alignment with 3DE's instructional design standards and accessibility considerations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or educator certification in Curriculum Development, Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Experience writing and developing turnkey K–12 instructional resources for teachers and students, including lessons, activities, assessments, facilitation guidance, and implementation supports.
• Strong curriculum writing and instructional design skills, with demonstrated ability to convert complex concepts into classroom-ready resources.
• Understanding of standards alignment, assessment design, scaffolding, and teacher facilitation needs.
• Ability to work within established style guides, curriculum frameworks, templates, brand standards, and production expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
• Flexible and solutions-oriented approach, with ability to incorporate feedback.
• Experience with career and technical education or project-based learning models.
• Experience developing materials for learning management systems or digital platforms.
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices for print and digital curriculum materials.
• Familiarity with HTML, digital media, or web-based content production.

Responsibilities

• Write and develop student- and teacher-facing curriculum materials aligned with 3DE's instructional model and frameworks.
• Convert concepts, outlines, research, and input into clear, engaging classroom resources.
• Develop lessons, activities, teacher guidance, student materials, assessments, and supports for special projects.
• Maintain brand, style, and design consistency across deliverables.
• Update materials for clarity, usability, and alignment with goals.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback to improve instructional quality and practicality.
• Collaborate with publishing, operations, designers, SMEs, and field teams.
• Prepare content for LMS pages and digital production, including assets and documentation.
