Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Director of Space Planning & Occupancy to oversee occupancy planning for a regional portfolio. The role focuses on space utilization, client coordination, and data-driven space strategies across multiple projects and relocations.

The candidate will manage data, support site strategies, and collaborate with CRE teams to deliver optimized space solutions and client value while maintaining accurate occupancy records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of related experience in a corporate space planning/CRE environment.
• Experience in developing site occupancy plans for short and long-term scenarios.
• Strong knowledge of space planning, occupancy analysis and data management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all facility space and personnel move requests within the territory to maximize space efficiency.
• Establishes relationships with client lines of business to understand requirements and impacts on portfolio.
• Makes recommendations to improve efficiency, service delivery, and asset utilization.
• Collaborates with Strategy, PM, Facility Management and CRE teams on planning efforts.
• Develops migration plans with Move Manager and Project Manager for relocations.
• Prepares planning documents and data for client review and handoff.
• Ensures space management data reflects current occupancy across assigned areas.

Job TitleDirector, Space and Occupancy PlanningJob Description SummaryThe Director of Space Planning & Occupancy primary focus is to oversee and provide tactical occupancy planning expertise in support of supply, capacity, and demand of Client’s portfolio of space in a specific geographic region. The planner will generate space layout options and group reorganization options in response to business needs. Activities will consist of day-to-day change requests, project space planning and solution development, project support including client relationship manager and project coordination, site strategy support related to space and occupancy analysis, solution outcomes and utilization metrics.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Oversees all facility space and personnel move requests within assigned territory to maximize space efficiencies while implementing solutions in-line with client lines of business and corporate real estate goalsEstablishes and maintains relationships with various client lines of business to understand their requirements and the impacts to the portfolioMakes recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, service delivery, cost savings, and asset utilizationCollaborates with Strategy, Project Management, Facility Management and other CRE team members on all effortsInterfaces with Client to develop options, finalize project concepts and prepare final documents for client approvalServes as the primary client contact for relocation requests and collaborates with Move Manager to ensure client needs are metOversees group moves and moves with special requirements.
