Job summary

Comcast is seeking a Software Engineering Director for the vCMTS platform in Philadelphia to lead development of high-performance, cloud-native broadband solutions. You will drive architecture decisions, set delivery strategy, and partner across product, engineering, and operations to ship end-to-end systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with systems and networking.
• Experience with distributed systems, Linux, and cloud-native platforms (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Knowledge of DOCSIS/PON or broadband access technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute vCMTS software strategy and delivery.
• Own end-to-end delivery of software releases with planning, execution, and lifecycle management.
• Lead architecture reviews and resolution of complex production issues across distributed systems.
• Manage budgets, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
