What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:

Leadership and Execution

Provide day-to-day leadership for Cloud & Data, Robot Software, and Firmware teams.

Mentor and develop existing Managers and senior (e.g. Principal) engineers.

Drive a culture of ownership, execution, and accountability, inspiring teams to meet ambitious milestones.

Engineering Excellence

Set and enforce engineering best practices across all teams to establish a culture of engineering excellence with scalable, testable, and maintainable systems

Implement effective work tracking and project management processes, in collaboration with Program Management, to drive predictability through structured accountability frameworks.

Foster a hands-on engineering culture where leaders are deeply involved in architecture and design trade off discussions to guide teams through complex decisions.

System and Platform Development

Oversee development of:

Robot software including Windows OS, clinical and subsystem application in C# and C++.

Embedded firmware solutions for distributed microcontroller systems.

Cloud applications on AWS.

Data engineering pipelines integrating multiple datasets.


The Qualifications We Need You to Possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of software engineering and software management experience, with at least 5 years in management roles leading multiple teams.
  • Proven leadership experience managing software delivery across one or more of cloud full-stack applications, desktop development, and embedded systems.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills; comfortable engaging deeply in software logic, architecture, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing coding guidelines, code review practices, unit testing standards, and work management processes.
  • Experience working in highly cross-functional environments.
The Qualifications We Want You to Possess:
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience scaling cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and building data analytics infrastructures.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems or real-time embedded systems development.
  • Experience guiding technical leaders to grow into higher management roles.

$255,000 - $300,000 a year
Compensation also includes a 25% bonus and RSUs at offer!

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY

Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role represents a base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance. We would also ask you to understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS policies.
