Job summary

Aerostrat is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to set the direction, strategy, and execution of Engineering and Technology. You will guide the product and technical roadmap, scale a cloud platform, and lead a high‑performing team across remote environments.

Responsibilities include aligning ISMS with business goals, mentoring engineers, recruiting top talent, and partnering with leadership to deliver reliable, secure software for B2B customers in aviation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in B2B SaaS.
• 5+ years software engineering leadership.
• 5+ years of work with Azure or AWS cloud projects and managing the total cost of ownership and/or development.
• 5+ years of system design experience.
• 5+ years working directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop product and company vision with CEO, leadership team, and product team.
• Create and execute Aerostrat’s Engineering strategy.
• Clearly communicate Aerostrat’s technology and Engineering vision to stakeholders.
• Set goals aligned with organizational needs and engineering priorities.
• Lead all aspects of the development lifecycle from requirements through maintenance.
• Ensure Aerostrat’s Engineering outputs are stable and scalable.
• Build out the engineering stack and staffing plan to sustain growth.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard top engineering talent.
• Coordinate ISMS implementation and compliance with IST.
• Oversee information security controls for production infrastructure.
