Job summary

Kodiak Solutions is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple teams in building scalable, secure enterprise software. You will drive Agile processes, set engineering strategy, and partner with Product, Architecture, Data, and Security to translate priorities into technical roadmaps.

The role requires strong cloud, data, and DevOps experience, with a focus on Snowflake integration, API/data platforms, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• “10+ years of progressive software engineering or technology experience, including enterprise/SaaS.”
• “5+ years of engineering leadership, including managers or multiple teams.”
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum teams.
• Experience with architecture, deployment, and production support of software.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams, mentoring managers, tech leads, and engineers across domains.
• Develop and execute engineering strategy aligned with product and business goals.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, data, security, and scalability initiatives.
• Maintain depth to participate in architecture, design, and engineering discussions.
• Partner with product, architecture, data, security, and stakeholders to define priorities and roadmaps.
• Drive decisions balancing scalability, maintainability, performance, security, cost, and speed to market.
• Establish engineering metrics to improve delivery and quality.
