Position Summary

Caris Detect is redefining how cancer is detected, and we believe influence will become one of our most powerful growth engines. The Director, Social Media & Influencer Strategy will build a modern influence ecosystem that extends far beyond traditional social media by connecting consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, wellness communities, ambassadors, creators, and other trusted voices through authentic engagement and compelling storytelling.

Working closely with Marketing leadership, this individual will bring deep expertise in social media, influencer marketing, community building, and audience intelligence to translate strategic priorities into measurable business impact while helping establish Caris Detect as one of the most trusted and culturally relevant brands in healthcare.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for an individual who enjoys developing strategy while also executing, optimizing, and continuously evolving high‑impact social media and influencer programs. This is a full‑time position reporting to the Vice President, Marketing – Caris Detect.

Success in this role will be measured by growth in brand awareness, trusted engagement, audience development, influencer impact, and measurable contribution to commercial objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own the Caris Detect social media strategy and presence across all priority channels, ensuring consistent messaging, brand standards, scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality execution that strengthens brand awareness, engagement, and community growth.
  • Develop and manage the social media editorial calendar in collaboration with Product Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Digital Marketing, Clinical Care, Corporate Communications, Creative, and other cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Create, publish, optimise, and analyse social media content while continuously improving channel performance through audience insights, analytics, and best practices.
  • Partner with Creative and Digital Marketing to ensure social media content aligns with integrated marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand strategy.
  • Develop and execute executive social media strategies that elevate Caris Detect leadership, thought leadership, and brand visibility.
  • Build and execute integrated influencer, ambassador, and creator programs that support commercial priorities, product launches, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
  • Identify, recruit, develop, and manage relationships with creators, ambassadors, healthcare professionals, wellness experts, patient advocates, celebrity partners, and other trusted voices aligned with the Caris Detect brand.
  • Partner closely with the Caris Life Sciences Patient Advocacy team to ensure influencer and social media initiatives complement broader patient advocacy, education, and community engagement efforts while maintaining a coordinated external presence.
  • Provide strategic direction to agency partners and external collaborators, reviewing and approving content and campaigns to ensure brand consistency, scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality execution.
  • Continuously identify emerging audience insights, influential voices, online communities, customer behaviours, and cultural trends that inform marketing strategy, content development, and campaign planning.
  • Monitor brand sentiment, competitive activity, and evolving customer conversations to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and strengthen engagement.
  • Evaluate emerging platforms, technologies, social media capabilities, and digital engagement trends to identify innovative opportunities for growth.
  • Establish measurement frameworks, key performance indicators, and reporting processes that connect social media and influencer initiatives to meaningful business outcomes.
  • Analyse campaign performance, audience engagement, influencer effectiveness, and channel performance to optimise programs and improve commercial impact.
  • Develop recommendations based on performance data and audience insights to continuously improve social media, influencer, and community‑building strategies.
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Care, Corporate Communications, Creative, Legal, Regulatory, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure integrated execution of social media and influencer initiatives.
  • Communicate program performance, market insights, emerging trends, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organisational objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Ten or more years of progressive experience leading social media, influencer marketing, brand marketing, digital engagement, or community‑building initiatives, preferably within healthcare, diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices, consumer health, wellness, or similarly complex industries.
  • Demonstrated success building high‑performing social media channels, influencer programmes, ambassador initiatives, and community engagement strategies that drive measurable business results.
  • Strong understanding of how modern consumer brands build trust, community, and cultural relevance through social media, creators, influencers, and digital engagement.
  • Experience managing external agencies, creators, influencers, talent partnerships, and strategic collaborators.
  • Exceptional written communication, storytelling, editorial, and content development skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience measuring campaign performance and translating data into actionable business insights.
  • Exceptional project management, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Hands‑on, execution‑oriented leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building new capabilities and continuously improving performance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Experience building brands, communities, or influence programmes for leading consumer health, wellness, fitness, longevity, or performance brands.
  • Experience supporting the commercialisation of healthcare, diagnostics, biotechnology, medical device, or consumer health products.
  • Experience leading executive thought leadership, social listening, audience intelligence, and digital reputation management initiatives.
  • Experience working in a regulated healthcare or life sciences environment.
Physical Demands
  • Must possess the ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to spend the majority of the workday using a computer and computer monitor.
  • Must possess the ability to perform repetitive motions, including keyboard and mouse use.
  • Must possess adequate hearing and visual acuity to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Occasional travel of up to 25% may be required to support conferences, customer meetings, partner events, content creation, and other business activities.
