About the Role:

OrderGroove is looking for an extraordinarily talented, passionate, and naturally curious person to join our Engineering Team. Our Engineers are problem solvers who get excited about pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve, love learning, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As the Site Reliability Engineer Director, you will join our SRE team, whose primary goal is to infinitely scale and secure our cloud-based hosted platform and accelerate the time to market of code deployments while supporting the biggest brands in the world.

What You Will Do:

1. Define and execute the vision for continuous delivery, cloud deployment strategies, and operational excellence.
2. Spearhead our reliability, scalability, and automation efforts to ensure our platform operates securely and efficiently.
3. Work closely with engineering, security, and QA teams to enhance deployment and release processes.
4. Help us scale how we push high-quality code, securely and efficiently.
5. Guide, mentor, and collaborate with a passionate team of engineers.

About You:

1. 8+ years working in DevOps, SRE, or similar capacity managing cloud/private or hybrid environments.
2. Passionate about automation, leveraging best-of-breed technologies, and eager to learn new skills.
3. Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
4. Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration best practices.
5. Comfortable with Linux system administration (CentOS / RHEL / Debian).
6. Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitOps.
7. Proficient with Apache/Nginx configurations.
8. Experience with MySQL/MongoDB administration and scaling strategies.
9. Experience designing high-availability and fault-tolerant systems.
10. Ability to work with development teams to understand their pain points and develop creative solutions.
11. Excellent communication skills.
12. Service-oriented mentality.
13. Strong critical thinking skills.
14. Ability to adapt quickly to change.

Bonus Points For:

1. Python or Go experience.
2. Managing GCP hosted environments.
3. Previous eCommerce experience.
4. Experience with PCI and SOC2 compliance processes.
5. Start-up and SaaS experience.
6. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
7. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
