Job summary

First Place for Youth in Oakland seeks a Director of SF Supportive Services to oversee Rapid Re-housing and Single Site Housing programs for transition-age youth (18–24). This onsite role requires leadership, staff supervision, and collaboration with partners to drive housing, education, and employment outcomes.

The Director will supervise a SF TAY Program Manager and a SF TAY Lead, report to the VP of Programs, and split time between Oakland and SF sites while engaging with community partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher preferred; Bachelors in social work, psychology, counselling or equivalent required.
• Five years of program management experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead program operations ensuring compliance with policy and funding requirements.
• Supervise staff, provide coaching, and support housing retention and education/employment coaching.
• Oversee data entry, reporting, and agency documentation standards.
• Develop and refine service delivery with field training and support.
• Manage partnerships across Bay Area counties and coordinate community referrals.

Education

Master's degree preferred

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counselling or equivalent
