Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Director of Product Management for Security Products to own the next wave of Cribl's security portfolio. You'll evaluate promising areas beyond Cribl Detect, determine priorities, and lead what gets funded from first conversations to launch.

You’ll build the business case, define the product, write requirements, set success metrics, and lead delivery with engineering from 0 to 1 and beyond.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management or closely related role, with 5+ years building security products.
• Deep understanding of security operations — SIEM, detection engineering, incident response.
• Hands-on product experience in security automation and response (SOAR), identity security, AI, or threat detection.
• Track record of taking a product from 0 to 1—problem discovery to paid product.
• Portfolio thinking with market evaluation, business cases, and clear recommendations.
• Leadership/mentoring of PMs and cross-functional influence.
• Technical depth to work with data architectures, detection logic, and AI/LLM systems.
• Strong written communication and decision-making under uncertainty.
• Bonus: SOC experience, security data platforms, or MITRE ATT&CK familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy for the next wave of security products and define prioritization.
• Build the business case, market sizing, and options (build/partner/buy).
• Lead execution and define product requirements with clear success metrics.
• Ensure new capabilities work natively with Cribl Detect on a shared data model.
• Engage with customers (CISOs, SOC managers) to validate direction before funding.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, and technology partners on positioning and launch.
• Grow the team by hiring and mentoring PMs as areas get funded.
• Represent Cribl security externally with customers and analysts.
