Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Manager of SEC Reporting to own external reporting and lead all SEC filings. You will partner with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, and auditors to ensure accurate, compliant disclosures while maturing reporting controls.

This strategic and hands‑on role demands deep GAAP knowledge, CPA credentials, and 7–10+ years of experience. You will design best‑in‑class reporting processes, draft complex disclosures, and drive efficiency across quarterly and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience with SEC exposure.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and disclosure requirements.
• Experience leading 10‑K/10‑Q filings and related disclosures.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERPs.
• Excellent written communication and ability to translate complex matters into disclosures.
• Strong project management and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end SEC reporting process, including 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K filings.
• Draft MD&A, footnotes, and disclosures with clarity and compliance.
• Coordinate XBRL tagging and stay abreast of new accounting standards.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, and external auditors.
• Design and improve internal controls over financial reporting related to SEC filings.
• Drive process maturity and efficiency to shorten close timelines.
