Senior Director, Sales

Work Location – Boston MA.

Responsibilities:
  1. Research potential clients and solicit customers for Saama Life Science Solutions.
  2. Engage in weekly territory/business development and prospect new leads and sponsors.
  3. Qualify opportunities throughout the sales stages.
  4. Prospect from Pharma/Life Sciences companies to clinical trials teams (Research & Development) and clinical business IT teams.
  5. Maintain front-line contact with customers, prospects, and leads, and be responsible for quarterly revenue goals.
  6. Follow the sales process and document progress in Salesforce.
  7. Develop and submit accurate forecasts and reports regularly.
  8. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to complete tasks.
  9. Develop and maintain high knowledge of Saama solutions and market trends to assist customer success.
  10. Understand Saama’s platform and its applications: Operational Insights, Clinical Insights, and Risk-Based Monitoring.
  11. Maintain a strong understanding of Saama’s solutions, industry positioning, and competitors.
Requirements:
  1. Understanding of clinical trials or drug development processes and involved sponsor functions.
  2. 10+ years of experience in the market and competitive landscape, with a focus on scaling solutions.
  3. Experience in qualifying opportunities.
  4. Proficiency in documenting customer requirements in Salesforce/CRM systems.
  5. Experience collaborating with Presales, Product, and Customer Success teams for demos and presentations.
  6. At least 5 years of prospecting/selling to Pharma/Life Sciences companies' clinical (R&D) business users.
  7. Experience selling clinical products/services such as Clinical Trial Analytics, Data Lakes, and Clinical Trial Services.
  8. Ability to work closely with sales planners to create proposals and decks.
  9. Interest in developing expertise in data & analytics applications.
  10. Strong desire to learn and grow.
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  13. Willingness to travel 40-100% as required.
Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.

Physical Demands:

Frequent use of computers, keyboards, and mice is required, with necessary hand and finger dexterity.
