Director, Sales Development

Location: Remote, United States

Description

Dodge Construction Network (Dodge) is searching for a Director, Sales Development to join our team! The Director, Sales Development is the front-line leader responsible for driving the day-to-day results for the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team. This team is critical to sales pipeline generation at Dodge and serves as the first point of contact for many prospects. In this role, we need an experienced and results-driven leader who will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing the SDR team, as well as developing strategy and working closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Product to drive positive outcomes. SDRs are the foundation for talent at Dodge, and this role will play a crucial part in the training and career growth of early sales professionals.

This is a full-time position reporting directly to the VP, New Business Sales.

Preferred Location

This is a remote, home-office based role; candidates located in the continental United States will be considered.

Travel Requirements

Expected travel is 25% for this role.

Essential Functions

  1. Develop and execute strategic hiring plans and internal talent development programs to attract, grow, and retain top SDR talent
  2. Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  3. Create and manage career progression paths, including mentoring, skills development, and professional coaching
  4. Own SDR pipeline generation targets and ensure team performance aligns with activity, conversion, and opportunity creation goals
  5. Set and manage KPIs; monitor team and individual progress to exceed performance expectations
  6. Use call reviews and real-time feedback to coach SDRs on messaging, outreach tactics, and sales methodology
  7. Partner with Marketing to align lead generation campaigns, messaging, and scoring criteria
  8. Collaborate with Sales leadership to refine ICP and ensure seamless lead handoffs
  9. Work with Enablement, Operations, and Product to improve SDR effectiveness
  10. Build and scale outbound motion to generate incremental pipeline for the New Logo sales organization
  11. Leverage analytics to drive improvements in structure, territory design, and best practices
  12. Promote a consultative, solution-oriented prospecting methodology
  13. Serve as the day-to-day resource for process, product, and procedural questions
  14. Ensure accurate data entry and process adherence within Salesforce, Salesloft, and other tools
  15. Optimize engagement across communication channels to improve SDR productivity and pipeline contribution
  16. Assess the SDR tech stack for operational efficiency and performance improvements
  17. Report regularly to Sales Leadership on SDR performance and pipeline contribution
  18. Identify process gaps and recommend strategic initiatives for scalability and impact
  19. Uphold a professional and positive presence, reflecting company values

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience.

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • 7+ years of experience leading high-velocity SMB sales development teams with a proven track record
  • Strong understanding of outbound pipeline generation processes
  • Ability to leverage data for decision-making and process improvements; expertise in KPI management
  • Experience coaching and mentoring early sales talent
  • Strong interpersonal and sales aptitude with a results-driven approach
  • Excellent time management skills in high-volume environments
  • Exceptional communication skills with a professional demeanor
  • High integrity and ownership of outcomes

  • Enterprise sales experience
