Job summary

Alaska Energy Authority seeks a Director of Rural and Renewable Energy to lead the agency’s Alternative Energy and Rural Energy Programs across Alaska. This role directs planning, design, and construction of renewable projects and provides expert guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and at least 10 years of program management and construction experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 10 years of experience in project/program management and construction required.
• Professional engineering license in Alaska preferred; PMP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Alaska Energy Authority’s Alternative Energy and Rural Energy Programs.
• Manage planning, design and construction of renewable energy and rural projects.
• Provide technical guidance and grant development support to staff and stakeholders.
• Directly supervise 4 employees.
