Job summary

Persona AI in Houston seeks a seasoned Director to build and scale the end-to-end supply chain from the ground up. You will design the organization, establish sourcing, procurement, planning, and logistics, and drive metrics and cross-functional collaboration to support rapid manufacturing scale.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in manufacturing supply chain, proven negotiation skills, and experience implementing MSAs, SLAs, and NDAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management in manufacturing.
• Experience buying mechanical, electrical, cables, circuit boards, and related materials/components.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and material requirements, ideally in electronics/robotics/precision manufacturing.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Design the supply chain organization structure from scratch, including strategic sourcing, procurement, planning, and logistics.
• Develop strategy for supplier footprint, logistics, and warehousing for scalable delivery to manufacturing site.
• Establish process and metrics for supplier qualification to meet scale demands.
• Scrutinize suppliers' ability to meet qualification levels as volume scales (Supplier Validation).
• Develop and maintain vendor partnerships; create scorecards for supplier evaluation; manage RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
• Establish a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop and execute a multi-year supply chain strategy aligned with business growth.
• Lead make-vs-buy decisions and risk management requirements.
• Implement an S&OP process.
• Establish warehousing strategy including WMS selection and location.
