Reports To (Position): VP of RFID Solutions

Pay Rate: The expected starting base pay for this role is USD $147,000-$152,000.00 per year. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Target variable pay (commission) is $75,000.00 per year.

If so, Fujitsu Frontech/Positek RFID is looking for a Director of RFID Solutions Sales to lead and manage the RFID sales team. The successful candidates will possess a professional and take-charge style with the motivation to meet and exceed customer expectations.

The Director - RFID Solution Sales, leads and manages the RFID sales team, developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales goals. The Director is responsible for building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the company's value proposition. Key responsibilities also include analyzing market trends, reporting on sales performance, and potentially overseeing the launch of new products or services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions of the position include, but are not limited to;

  • Devises and implements the strategy for meeting sales performance targets for the entire sales team.
  • Responsible for heading up the expansion of Fujitsu RFID solutions in new markets as well as continued expansion among existing clients.
  • Builds relationships with existing clients to increase sales & market penetration of products/solutions.
  • Develops and manages monthly sales forecasting and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Manages strategic customer relationships, e.g. Material Flow, RYCO, DIA, Medline, Standard, Venus, Superior Garment, as well as Scrub Cabinet equipment suppliers.
  • Manages relationships with key software partners, e.g. Linen Master, Alliant, Textile Technology, ABS, 2Trace, Alsco Software Group, etc.
  • Attends and manages trade association and cost group relationships, e.g. ITRA, CSC, WTSA, NELA, TRSA and ARTA.
  • Organizes, manages and represents the company at trade shows to promote products and services.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Articulates the distinct aspects of products, services and value proposition to prospects and customers through proposals and presentations.
  • Communicates, presents and influences (credibly and effectively) at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Monitors competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
  • Develops business plans to target RFID solution prospects including determining prospects business requirements and how Fujitsu products/solutions meet/exceed these requirements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to penetrate solution providers and OEM accounts and develop business rationale for the integration of RFID solutions into partner solution(s).
  • Closes business after completion of qualification including price negotiations, distribution, logistics, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for sales lead generation and qualification, follow through, cold call initiation.
  • Educates customers about our business solutions.
  • Responsible for weekly use of Microsoft CRM automation tools to track progress and report goals.
  • Customarily and regularly exercises independent discretion and judgement.
  • Regular work site attendance.

Manager/Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages 1 to 3 subordinate employees in the RFID Sales department. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Works with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees.
  • Performance management duties:
    • Coaches, mentors and develops staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
    • Communicates job expectations; plans, monitors; coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
    • Empowers employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegates responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
    • Provides effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.
    • Leads employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
  • Leads employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
  • Maintains employee work schedules including assignments, training, vacations and paid time off, telecommuting, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling.
  • Continuously communicates information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and email.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and legal work environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; and 7-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proven Account Management and project skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships. Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc.).

COMPUTER SKILLS

Demonstrate ability to effectively use computer and applicable computer software. Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Experience with Microsoft CRM a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Demonstrate ability to read, comprehend, and respond appropriately through written or verbal form when required; ability to demonstrate tactfulness when communicating, to include internal communication with staff members of all levels; ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences; ability to analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. TRAVEL

Must be able and willing to travel (up to 30%) meeting and supporting customers and potential customers as required, both domestically and internationally. Must be willing to travel by plane to locations in other states/countries. Valid Passport/Driver’s License/Real ID is required at all times for this position.
