Job summary

The Office of Policy and Management in Connecticut is seeking a Fiscal and Program Policy Section Director to lead the Economics and Revenue Forecasting section within the Budget and Financial Management Division. Qualifications

• Ten years of professional experience in budget management or financial management with budget responsibility.
• Two years at the level of Principal Budget Specialist or Fiscal Administrative Manager 2.
• Considerable knowledge of management principles, state and federal laws, and governmental budgeting.
• Strong ability to analyze and evaluate complex statistical data.
• Considerable interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Current State of Connecticut employee with at least six months of full-time service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Economics and Revenue Forecasting section within the Budget and Financial Management Division.
• Develop state revenue policies and analyze economic data.
• Prepare revenue projections for the Governor's budget.
• Supervise budget analysts.
• Represent the Revenue unit in meetings with agency leadership, legislative committees, and ratings agencies.
• Provide guidance to state agencies on budget compliance.
