Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Provides direction and leadership to the Respiratory Department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies. Prepares and justifies annual budgeting, anticipating realistic volume trends, and implements control in fiscal management.
- Plans and implements new services and implements department changes.
- Works in collaboration with Department Managers and Directors to develop and implement integrated policies and procedures, ensuring standards and procedures are followed in daily practice.
- Compiles continuous quality improvement projects in coordination with key personnel, planning and implementing new services and department changes.
- Insures compliance with accreditation, certification, licensure and government standards relevant to cardiopulmonary/neurodiagnostic services, ensuring CLIA and CAP regulations are met in the Blood Gas Laboratory.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in Respiratory Therapy and three (3) years in a leadership role.
Licensure
- License as a Respiratory Therapist.
