Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of directly job-related experience.
• Thorough understanding of federal, state and university grant regulations.
• Ability to lead a research administration team and coordinate complex processes.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and submits proposals to external funding sources and manages cost centers.
• Provides guidance to faculty, department administrators, and executives on grants and contracts.
• Resolves issues within the research administration team.
• Develops and implements internal procedures for the assigned team and directs work.
• Maintains web-based proposal submission and research administration systems.
• Negotiates terms of grants and sub-award awards with sponsors and reviews contracts with the Research Contracts Officer.
• Researches sponsor regulations applicable to funded projects.
• Evaluates expenditure reallocations for allowability and timeliness.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
