Director, Renewables Project Management (Independent Engineer)

Location: United States

Note: This is not an IT-related role.

Our work focuses on developing and investing in energy infrastructure. As a Director, Renewables Project Management (Independent Engineer), you will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, engage with clients, and expand our independent engineering and owner’s advisory services. Join a team of industry experts delivering high-value technical diligence and solutions for technical and commercial challenges in the evolving energy industry.

Technical Advisory offers comprehensive services supporting strategic investments, portfolio management, operational planning, market developments, policy analysis, regulatory support, and customer engagement. Collaborate across divisions such as Power and Gas Market, Environment and Planning, and Transportation and Sustainability. Your experience in power markets, independent engineering, and client engagement at senior levels will be crucial.

What you will do:
  • Conduct technical due diligence, support construction and project completion monitoring on energy assets.
  • Manage project and client relationships.
  • Provide technical guidance to multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Work within a collaborative team environment.
  • Complete projects within scope, time, and budget.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
  • Support business development, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Develop client proposals.
  • Stay informed on market activities and industry trends.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical).
  • 12+ years of energy industry experience, including consulting and project finance due diligence.
  • 12+ years of site-based experience in engineering or managerial roles on utility-scale renewable projects.
  • Experience with Independent Engineering/Owner's Engineering.
  • People management, mentorship, and development skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for onsite visits.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • 20+ years of energy industry experience, including project financing due diligence.
  • 20+ years of site-based engineering or managerial experience on renewable projects.
  • Proven project and team management skills.
  • Experience with renewable power projects.
  • Knowledge of commercial contracts for project development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Range: $173,832 - $295,514 annually, based on experience, skills, location, and other factors. This is for full-time employment at our Nationwide Remote Office (US99).
