Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. in Houston/Broomfield is seeking a Director to lead Reliability & Regulatory Compliance, shaping strategy across generation, renewables, battery storage, and transmission.

You will guide adherence to NERC and other energy regulations, oversee audits and filings, partner with Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Cybersecurity, Legal and Commercial teams, and build high-performing, accountable teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Law, Regulatory Affairs, Energy Management, Public Policy, or related field.
• 15+ years in regulatory/reliability compliance or energy operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.

What You Will Do

• Lead reliability and regulatory compliance programs supporting generation, renewable energy, battery storage, and transmission operations
• Provide guidance on NERC, ISO/RTO, and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Oversee audits, reporting, filings, corrective actions, and compliance governance activities
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Cybersecurity, Legal, and Commercial teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks
• Lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Law, Regulatory Affairs, Energy Management, Public Policy, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in regulatory compliance, reliability compliance, utility operations, power markets, engineering, or a related energy discipline
• Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience
• Experience working within electric utility, renewable energy, battery storage, transmission, or independent power producer environments
• Knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards and other applicable energy regulatory frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence technical, operational, and business stakeholders

Additional Details

• This evergreen posting is intended to identify talent for future Director-level Reliability & Regulatory Compliance opportunities across ENGIE North America. Specific responsibilities, work arrangements, and travel requirements may vary by position
• These positions are eligible for ENGIE's hybrid work policy and are not eligible for fully remote work
• Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time, including occasional overnight travel
• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

We are recruiting across two levels, and we will determine appropriate placement based on the candidate's experience and scope. Salary Range will be included in the formal job posting once a specific level of opportunity is determined and posted.

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
