Qualifications

• 8+ years in insurance or reinsurance as a lawyer/attorney or contract/policy specialist
• Experience drafting and interpreting treaty wordings for domestic and global placements is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex reinsurance contracts and review the work of supporting Contract Drafters, ensuring technical quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Mentor and supervise a team of Contract Drafters, providing mentorship, feedback, and development support.
• Represent the department in client, reinsurer, and broker meetings, offering wording expertise in contract language development and interpretation.
• Guide brokers and clients in developing and interpreting contract language for complex coverage and loss scenarios.
• Support business growth and client advocacy through RFP participation and recommendations for coverage and contract improvements.
