Role Overview

The Regulatory Affairs function at Capital One manages all interactions with Federal Banking Regulators. We provide key advisory consulting to senior management regarding onsite supervision and evolving regulatory policies, while supporting regulatory and supervisory policy development.

We are seeking a Director to play a significant role in ensuring that Capital One proactively responds to the changing regulatory landscape and fulfills commitments to regulators in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advisory services to senior management regarding regulatory changes
• Drive internal awareness of regulatory focus areas and sensitivities to minimize risks
• Build productive relationships with Federal Regulatory Supervisory staff
• Lead examination preparation activities
• Oversee execution of on-site examination activities
• Identify risk areas through review of policies and procedures
• Monitor and ensure timely mitigation of corrective actions
• Support policy-making advocacy activities related to banking and regulation

Qualifications

Minimum: At least 5 years of experience in banking, financial services, risk management, audit, consulting, or regulatory agencies.

Preferred: At least 8 years of relevant experience supporting projects with senior leaders and external stakeholders, including working with banking regulators and regulatory policy.
