Purpose of the Position

The Director, Regional Sales (South Central) will have full accountability for achieving their financial targets across all lines of business (Education, Business, and Lumio) for their region. They will own the localization of our global strategies for demand generation, revenue, channel engagement, end-user engagement, adoption, and pricing. To achieve their objectives, the Director will rely heavily on the support and expertise of their extended teams throughout the UCE and with colleagues in Finance and Product Management, in a matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed all sales and margin targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans for the success of your region.
  • Effectively develop, evaluate, and refine regional channel and sales strategies.
  • Solidify key customer and partner relationships; develop plans to expand these relationships at all levels, including end-customers, direct partners, national partners, and distributors.
  • Manage, motivate, develop, and inspire a cross-functional team focused on regional success.
  • Build cooperative relationships internally at SMART to align regional needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other sales and regional directors to share best practices and support SMART’s goals.
  • Manage sales and operational budgets for the region.
  • Uphold SMART’s Brand, Values, and Behaviour Framework.
Education and Work Experience
  • At least 5 years' experience in regional sales leadership within a technology-driven business.
  • Proven success in sales and channel management.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Post-secondary degree in sales, business, marketing, or related field.
  • Valid passport or no impediment to obtaining one.
Working Conditions
  • Home-based role with significant travel, potentially up to 75% of the time.
  • Full-time role with salary, DISP, and benefits.
