Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a seasoned RWE leader to guide a multidisciplinary team of data scientists. You will influence strategy, design studies, and deliver real‑world evidence across therapeutic areas, partnering with global leaders to translate data into actionable insights.

We value deep expertise in epidemiology/biostatistics, advanced R skills, and at least 8 years in biopharma or healthcare, with 5+ years in management.

Qualifications

• PhD in epidemiology or biostatistics.
• Strong coding skills using R.
• 8+ years in biopharma, RWE, or healthcare industries.
• 5+ years as people manager.
• Experience mitigating confounding and biases in data analyses.
• Experience with multiple real-world data sources (EHR, claims, registries).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of RWE scientists; shape strategy and deliver project roadmaps.
• Partner with Therapeutic Area leaders to deliver Real World Evidence.
• Be hands-on; develop best practices and tools for RWE data scientists.
• Provide end-to-end expertise in RWE studies: study design, analysis, and interpretation.
• Lead development of RWD methodologies to mitigate biases in external control studies.
• Generate actionable insights from historical trial data, observational databases, and literature reviews.
• Create study protocols, analysis plans, and deliverables including datasets, tables and figures.
