Job summary

Summit Strategic Search is recruiting for a Director of RWE Analytics in biotech to lead the design and delivery of high‑impact observational research and to shape how advanced analytics, data pipelines, and AI are integrated into evidence generation.

This player-coach role blends hands-on data work with strategic influence on clinical development and market access initiatives, while mentoring RWE scientists and partnering with asset leaders to align timelines and evidence needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or related field.
• 10+ years of real-world evidence generation experience.
• Expertise in observational study design, survival analysis, regression, IPTW/MAIC, causal inference.
• Proficiency in SAS, R, Python for real-world claims/EHR data and AI/ML.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Strong commercial and clinical strategic mindset.
• Peer‑reviewed publications demonstrating research impact.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement governance for study execution, data management, and documentation.
• Design, execute, and report observational/epidemiologic studies across assets and indications.
• Conduct feasibility assessments using claims, EHR, registries, and patient-generated data.
• Manage analysis plans, programming, statistics, and quality control per standards.
• Collaborate on survival and economic modeling to support HTA activities.
• Evaluate new data modalities for study applicability and integration.
• Lead pilots to scale AI in routine RWE analytics.
• Advance analytics infrastructure with secure, reproducible pipelines.
• Present designs and results to study teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor RWE scientists and programmers; contribute to department strategy.
