From elevator modernizations to major building improvements, the Director will lead projects that extend the life of our properties, improve building performance, and create safe, welcoming environments for residents, staff, and the communities we serve.

This is an opportunity for a strategic leader who enjoys being actively involved in projects, supporting their team, and making a meaningful impact through their work.

  • Salary Range: $121,000-$125,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid eligible, up to 2 remote days per week
  • On‑Site Requirements: Regular visits to Project HOME properties throughout Philadelphia
What You'll Do

  • Oversee construction activities and coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and other project partners to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Lead and support a team of three professionals responsible for capital improvements, project management, and construction oversight.
  • Monitor project progress, manage competing priorities, and address challenges to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversee asset management strategies that support the long‑term physical and financial performance of Project HOME's properties.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Supportive Housing Operations, and other departments to coordinate projects and minimize disruptions to residents and staff.
  • Engage community stakeholders and internal partners to ensure projects reflect organizational needs and priorities.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (four years).
  • At least eight years of relevant experience in real estate project management, construction management, property management, capital improvements, or related fields.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction, building preservation, and capital improvement project management.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
  • Experience working in low‑ and moderate‑income and urban communities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Ability to travel between Project HOME properties as needed.
