Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Radiology Department Administrative Leader to coordinate meetings and oversee administrative and technical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care at the West Point facility.

The role requires ARRT registration, AMA-approved radiology training, Mississippi licensure, and at least 5 years of management and radiology/technical experience. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school in radiology.
• Must be registered by ARRT; 5 years of management and radiology/tech experience preferred.
• Mississippi Radiologic Technologist licensure required; ARRT registry highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and coordinates meetings and activities of Radiology staff and department.
• Responsible for administrative and technical management of the department to provide quality patient care.
• Oversees department budget development and supervises staff for fiscal accountability.
• Liaises between staff, physicians, patients, and families to ensure effective communication.
• Prepares and presents operational and financial reports/projects as required.
• Ensures compliance with state/local/federal radiation standards and NMHS policies.

Job Description

Administrative Duties:

• Prepares and coordinates meetings and activities of Radiology staff and department
• Responsible for the administrative and technical management of the department to provide quality patient care.
• Oversee staff and procedures
  Budget:
• Oversees West Point Radiology Department budget development and supervises staff to maintain fiscal accountability of budget
  Liaison:
• Serves as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and family members to ensure effective communication/interaction
• Ensures high quality health care is delivered at the West Point Facility and Radiology Department by effectively interacting and cooperating with providers
  Reporting:
• Prepares and presents operational and financial reports/projects as required
  Regulation:
• Responsible for State, Local, and Federal radiation standards requirements.
• Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
• Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues
  Requirements:
• Graduate of AMA approved school. Registered by ARRT, highly desirable that the incumbent have 5 years previous experience in management and various technical experience in Radiology, C.T., Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine.
• Mississippi Medical Technical License
• Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills required
• Knowledge of health management policies, personnel management, and Joint Commission Standards
• Must have current CPR certification.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; required
