Responsibilities
- Develop and refine QA strategy, standards, and performance metrics aligned with customer success.
- Lead and mentor QA team members; foster collaboration and continuous learning.
- Identify and implement process improvements across teams and tools.
- Define and report on key quality metrics; analyze data and recommend actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards; manage risk and audits.
- Own automation roadmap and tooling across multiple workloads; integrate with CI/CD and reporting systems.
Skills/Experience Required
- 8+ years total in software QA/quality (preferably for SaaS products), including 3+ years in leadership/people management.
- Hard requirements (must-have): Proven track record leading organization-wide QA strategy and governance, building teams, and delivering measurable quality outcomes across services; demonstrated success scaling test automation across multiple workloads and embedding it into CI/CD; experience establishing QA standards, processes, and performance metrics across services; proven ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Additional nice-to-have skills/tools: History of mentoring teams and managing performance in alignment with company goals; strength in defining/monitoring quality metrics and translating insights into action; demonstrated ownership of audit-ready processes and quality reviews.
Tools
- UI test automation (web): Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
- API automation: Postman/Newman, REST Assured; familiarity with ReadyAPI or Karate helpful.
- Mobile automation (as applicable): Appium.
- Test management & reporting: TestRail or Zephyr; reporting with Allure or similar.
- CI/CD & environments: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI; experience orchestrating test execution in pipelines.
- Coverage across workloads: Designing automation for web UI, API/services, mobile, and data/ETL pipelines; experience with data seeding/mocking and environment management.
