Your Mission:

As the architect of our strategic vision for quality and performance improvement, you will align our initiatives with the core mission, vision, and values of Newport Healthcare and its affiliated programs. Your leadership will be pivotal in designing, executing, and monitoring groundbreaking quality initiatives that not only meet regulatory requirements but set new standards in the industry!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Innovate & Implement: Develop and execute a comprehensive quality improvement system that adheres to enterprise-wide Joint Commission standards.
  • Safety First: Monitor key safety incidents and collaborate with local leadership to implement high-reliability protocols, ensuring our patients receive the safest care possible.
  • Collaborative Excellence: Work alongside Clinical, Operational, and Compliance teams to craft enterprise-wide policies that elevate patient safety and experience.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize cutting-edge data analytics to pinpoint areas for improvement and track progress on key quality indicators.
  • Empower Leaders: Serve as the go-to expert for senior leaders, reinforcing our commitment to safety and quality while ensuring transparency in our quality improvement activities.

Your Vision:
  • Annual Quality & Performance Improvement Plan: Develop and present a dynamic plan that outlines our goals and progress, keeping management informed and engaged.
  • Adapt & Overcome: Monitor the effectiveness of performance improvement initiatives, making necessary adjustments to ensure we achieve our desired outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Certifications: Professional certification in healthcare quality or compliance is a plus!
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience in a business setting.
  • At least 7 years of experience specifically in healthcare compliance, quality improvement, and/or licensing.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Proven experience working with governmental regulatory bodies and managing healthcare compliance policies.
  • Behavioral Health Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the behavioral health service delivery system and treatment methods, including inpatient, residential, PHP/IOP, and outpatient services.
  • Quality Improvement Skills: Strong understanding of quality and performance improvement methodologies, applicable standards, and regulations.
  • Risk Assessment: Demonstrated ability to implement continuous risk assessment and monitoring methodologies in a healthcare setting.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate and mediate among diverse clinical, administrative, and support staff.
