Job Title: Director of Public Sector Sales, Cyber Security & Data Privacy

Location: Remote - Boston, MA - US

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Public Sector Manager to lead our SLED (State, Local, Education) go-to-market efforts. This high-impact role requires a leader with public sector experience, sales strategy skills, and a passion for privacy. You will lead a team of Account Executives to expand our presence in government, law enforcement, and educational institutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, and coach Account Executives, setting clear goals and providing resources.
  2. Strategy & Planning: Own the annual SLED GTM plan, aligning with company strategies and initiatives.
  3. Sales Execution: Support deal closures through high-stakes calls, pre-call planning, and deal reviews using MEDDPICC.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales Ops, Marketing, Legal, Security, and Customer Success teams.
  5. Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate forecasts and data hygiene in Salesforce, track performance metrics.
  6. Process Optimization: Develop and refine sales processes and tools for scalability.
  7. Market Development: Identify legislation, trends, and opportunities; collaborate with Policy and Partnerships teams.
  8. Thought Leadership: Represent DeleteMe at industry events and webinars on privacy topics.

Job Requirements:

  • Reside in or near Boston, MA.
  • 5+ years in sales or business development, with a focus on public sector (SLED preferred).
  • 2+ years managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Proven track record of quota attainment.
  • Background in cybersecurity, SaaS, or data privacy preferred.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of public sector procurement cycles.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and sales tools.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presence.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC methodology.
  • High EQ, low ego; comfortable with field and executive interactions.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Information Security, or related field.
