Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin is seeking a seasoned public affairs professional to distill policy into clear messaging for diverse audiences and to draft a range of communications materials.

You will develop media strategies, pitch reporters across print, broadcast, and online outlets, and manage coalitions and grassroots advocacy while coordinating with clients, reporters, and vendors to deliver high-impact campaigns.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of relevant experience in public affairs or media relations, ideally in an agency orTexas legislature setting.
• Interest in public affairs and policy issues.
• Ability to synthesize technical content.
• Understanding of the communications landscape across digital, print, social and broadcast channels.
• Coalition building and grassroots advocacy experience.
• Proven experience writing and editing materials and working with the press.
• Strong understanding of AP Style.
• Experience securing high-profile media hits and opinion columns.

Responsibilities
