Job summary

Wildlife Conservation Society seeks a Director, Research and Prospect Management to guide donor intelligence and portfolio strategy. You will lead a team of researchers, partner with frontline fundraisers, and align research outputs with campaign goals and philanthropic capacity.

Based at the Bronx Zoo with hybrid work, you will oversee wealth analysis, data analytics, and ethical data practices, driving growth of major gifts and planned giving through rigorous inquiry and strategic relationship

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
7–10 years of progressive prospect research or advancement services experience.
Leadership experience in nonprofit or higher education settings.

Responsibilities

Develop tailored portfolio management and optimization strategies with RMs.
Direct major gift prospect identification through data mining and wealth screening.
Design and manage engagement scoring and moves management systems.
Analyze research output to guide donor strategy and pipeline growth.
Lead and mentor the Research team; manage workflow and priorities.
Evaluate research tools for transparency, AI adoption, and data integrity.
Support campaign planning with prospect briefings and strategy memos.
