Capital One is seeking a Director of Project Management within Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) to drive strategy and execution of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. About the team:

Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) comprises many of Capital One’s most important enterprise platforms. We establish practices for building technology solutions across the company and deliver capabilities that exemplify those practices.

As a Director of Project Management in EPTech, you will leverage your project management acumen and leadership experience to drive the strategy and execution of large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects aligned with Capital One’s business priorities. You’ll break down complexity and organizational silos, influence roadmaps, dive deep into project plans and scope, make strategic tradeoffs, drive platform consolidation, and identify, resolve, define, and elevate mitigation plans for hard project dependencies.

Specific responsibilities related to project management include:

• Demonstrates a proven track record of excellent program management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
• Driving all phases of project management to include feasibility, definition, planning, prioritization, implementation and close out of projects
• Effectively applying project management methodology and standards, and ensuring project documents are complete and up to date
• Displaying cross-functional teamwork, communication, negotiation and leading across all levels
• Partnering cross-functionally with key stakeholders to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
• Working with cross functional teams and influencing others to work toward common goal, regardless of resource and time constraints
• Creating transparency and fostering relationships to adjacent teams

• Understanding of financial systems and technology processes

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 9 years of Process, Project, or Program Management experience
• At least 7 years of People Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters in Business Administration
• 10+ years of Process, Project, or Program Management experience
• 3+ years of Operations experience
• 7+ years of People Management experience
• 2+ years of Learning & Development experience
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $206,000 - $235,100 for Director, Project ManagementNew York, NY: $224,800 - $256,500 for Director, Project ManagementPlano, TX: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Project ManagementRichmond, VA: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
