Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Foster City, CA seeks a Director of Project Management to drive high-priority U.S. Commercial initiatives and advise senior leaders.

Based in Foster City, the role reports to the Senior Director, Business Strategy & Operations and leads cross-functional projects with limited supervision. Bachelor’s/advanced degrees and a strong biotech/pharma background are preferred, with deep experience in strategy, governance, and executive communication.

Director, Project Management. Lead high-priority U.S. Commercial strategic initiatives and serve as a strategic advisor to leaders across Business Units and functions. Report to the Senior Director, Business Strategy & Operations. Based in Foster City, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead strategic initiatives aligned to U.S. Commercial goals and objectives.
• Partner with leadership to shape strategy, clarify choices, challenge thinking, and drive decisions on complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Develop new concepts, techniques, standards, and approaches.
• Lead complex planning, operations, and special projects with significant organizational impact and limited direct supervision.
• Create executive-level work products (strategic frameworks, governance models, recommendations, narratives, decision materials).
• Anticipate interdependencies, risks, and organizational implications; proactively mobilize stakeholders to resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ experience; OR
• Master’s degree and 10 years’ experience; OR
• PhD and 8 years’ experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years relevant experience; OR Master’s/MBA/PhD/MD with 10+ years relevant experience.
• 2+ years at a top-tier consulting firm preferred.
• Deep biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of the U.S. Commercial business, portfolio, and enterprise operating environment.
