Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. is seeking a Director Project Controls to lead cost, forecasting and reporting across projects in the USA. You will drive budgeting, contingency management, change control and KPI-based performance with a focus on margin improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years in project controls within semiconductor or high-tech EPC environments, including large-scale $500M+ projects. Excellent stakeholder management is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with corporate decision makers and managing negotiations is a priority.
• Previous operations experience in semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing construction preferred.
• Experience in EPC environment with budgetary and financial oversight for large projects (>$500M).

Responsibilities

• Develops policies and procedures in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Performs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.
• Supports design engineering in development and monitoring of schedules, control tools and manpower utilization plans.
• Develops Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work defined by the contract.
• Interfaces with client, subcontractors and others on controls, reporting requirements and budgets.
• Communicates completion dates and interfaces between responsible parties.
• Analyzes schedule progress and performance to identify problems.
• Coordinates review of Profit/Risk Analysis and provides status reporting.
• Promotes KPI driven culture and use of reports and metrics.
• Supports total cost of ownership analysis and cost reductions through end-to-end financial analysis.
• Provides leadership and drive KPI driven performance.
• Delivers portfolio performance progress and risk analyses for the project portfolio.

The Director Project Controls - USA is responsible for providing day-to-day support for projects. Develops systems and processes for Project Control disciplines of cost and revenue forecasting/reporting, fiscal data integrity, change management, budgetary contingency management, contract business process compliance, maximizing margin, project stakeholder’s interface, scheduling and facilitation and resolution of issues that may affect project financial objectives.

• Develops policies and procedures in alignment with corporate objectives
• Performs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities
• Supports design engineering in the development and monitoring of engineering work schedules, control tools and detailed manpower utilization plans
• Develops Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work defined by the contract
• Interfaces and maintains liaison with client, subcontractors and others on all controls related items including reporting requirements, monthly expenditures, budgets, cash flow projections, and work progress
• Liaisons with all team leaders to communicate required completion dates and interfaces between responsible parties
• Analyzes schedule progress and performance to identify developing problem areas
• Coordinates the review of Project Profit/Risk Analysis with management and provides status reporting
• Promotes a KPI driven culture based on the use of tools and processes
• Supports the team on the total cost of ownership and cost reductions through end-to-end financial analysis of the opportunities from the different areas
• Aligns a KPI driven culture by providing areas with key reports and metrics and promoting its use
• Provides the team with analysis of projects and portfolio data for trend setting, and or corrections
• Works with finance and the team to maintain transparency and accuracy of cash flows, and AP
• Participates on the development of the operations plan, and performance tracking against set targets
• Identifies new ways of working and lead the change to improve and cost efficiencyAnticipates issues/barriers versus project plan and develop appropriate actions in support of business goals/aims
• Understands and applies the skills necessary to play an active role in constructing basic financial frameworks, managing project budgets, and following up on project metrics
• Demonstrates and shows others the Company values and behaviors necessary to drive business results
• Openly accepts feedback and new perspectives for self-development
• Delivers portfolio performance progress weekly/monthly/ad-hoc reports
• Provides leadership and drive a KPI driven performance
• Performs risk-analysis /forecasting and mitigation plans for projects portfolio in order to minimize any negative impact on Company
• Promotes a safety culture within the team and others. Ensure all activities are executed under the safety of all involved, as well as the safety of the community and environment
